Oh man. What's so beautiful about your writing is that it's not about addiction and addicts so much as it is about just being a person. I love your work Anonymous. Come back soon.
I think it's great that you're stopping, but i will miss the downloads, the weight and tenderness of them. It was the best writing on addiction I've ever read because it was about so much more. Just the dignity you gave everyone you wrote about, including yourself. It was a big fat serving of the real and as we all saw from the comments, people were deeply moved. You did it. You don't need to do anymore. Thanks for the ride. Knocked me out.
What a beautiful piece of work this is. To reject sterile “advice” and instead embrace personal authenticity is easier said than done but ultimately the truest way to become an interesting, admirable human being. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏼
A great last post, Anonymous. You are right of course, we are complicated AND simple creatures at the same time. We briefly come into the world and spend so much of our time on meaningless things. Love, purpose, kindness is where I find meaning in this random, chaotic existence. Thank you for sharing your stories with us, I loved reading them. I hope you return one day. Enjoy your boy, watching them grow up is a freaking miracle!
I hope you are sharing your beautiful observations, wonderful turn of phrase and kind heart with the world in another way, if not here. Thank you - your writing has shifted my perceptions and made my outlook a little more tender.
You made me think about those well known Rilke's vverses “Let everything happen to you Beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final” It could them apply to almost anything. I hope it applies to your writing, here or elsewhere. Just keep going. It's beautiful.

Come back soon, we will be waiting.
And if you don't, please please bundle these in a book
I don't have kids yet but when I do, I will show them this.
